Dry Rub Pork Roast Recipe | Slow Cooked Pork Roast

Out of all roasts I have to say the Pork Roast is my absolute favorite. I think it has way more flavor and versatility than the ever popular pot roast. I make this recipe again and again and it never disappoints.

South Eastern North Carolina BBQ | BBQ Pork Roast

I learned a few important food lessons living in North Carolina for a few years and one of them was how seriously they take BBQ. There is nothing that substitutes for hour being slowly cooked in a smoker. Most people though do not own a smoker but we can still enjoy beautiful tender BBQ.

To achieve fall off the bone results use either the crock pot or Instant Pot. Both produce amazingly tender and juicy meat full of flavors from the dry rub.

The roast is topped with a special vinegar based BBQ sauce popular in South Eastern North Carolina.
